DRIED PEYOTE CACTUS is simply pieces of dried peyote cactus. The active ingredient in both peyote cactus is mescaline. A mescaline trip is a very powerful experience and should be treated with respect. The experience is usually characterized by visual effects, personal insights and positive feelings.
CHEMISTRY: Mescaline is structurally similar to LSD. It binds to serotonin receptors, especially serotonin 2A. Persons using SNRI and SSRI anti-depressants will sometimes find reduced effects from peyote.
DOSAGE: A psychedelic dose of mescaline is usually between 250 to 350 milligrams. A microdose is usually around 20-40mg of mescaline. Dried peyote will contain approximately 3% mescaline (30mg per gram). Here are some very rough dosing guidelines:
